As a full retail game, DeathSpank would have had a difficult time finding its niche and therefore would have been considered a failure.
DeathSpank is an action role-playing game by game designer Ron Gilbert, who had been working on getting the game made since 2004 it was announced on Januthat Hothead Games would publish the game. Luckily, the game has found its audience on the PSN and XBLA.ĭeathSpank did have a few issues with the combat mechanic and the way in which health was recovered, but overall it was a standard questing hack-n-slash elevated by slapstick humor. If you haven’t already checked out the first game, you might be lost jumping right into the sequel. DeathSpank is a high-end and fun game, yet incredibly accessible. And since the game is so hilarious it will not feel like a chore to get through.
It’s very easy to pick up and play, both in terms of its classic arcade controls, as well as the convenience of downloading. With somewhere between 5-7 hours of gameplay, it is well worth the price tag and once you enter the world of DeathSpank, the dispenser of justice, you wont want to go back.
